Smooth, hair-free skin is as simple as 1, 2, 3

Ensure that you have read the cautions prior to use, and carried out a patch test. Apply a thin layer of Skin Protect Balm to the area and rub in well. Blot off any excess with a tissue. Next apply a layer of Facial Hair Removal Cream - do not rub in but allow it remain on the skin surface.

Wait for 10 minutes, then test a small area to see if the hair removes easily. If not, leave on a little longer but do not exceed 15 minutes in total.

Remove the cream with a damp cotton wool or soft facecloth. Make sure all traces of the cream are removed. Finally rinse the area thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry.

Be gentle with your skin immediately after removing hair - avoid harsh sunlight, or products containing fragrance or alcohol for around 8 hours

What’s the best way to prepare my skin before using the product?

The products work best on well-kept moisturised skin. We recommend exfoliating 24 hours before using the product as dry, scaly skin will compromise the efficacy of the product.

What is the best routine I should follow to ensure that I have a perfect hair removal experience?

The product works best on clean, dry skin. That said, it is not advisable to use a hair removal cream immediately after a hot bath, as the pores will be dilated. Also ensure the skin is free of oiliness and residue from products like moisturisers and sunscreen.

Why at times does the cream discolour once the tube has been opened?

Oxidisation may occur if the lid of the tube is not closed tightly, once used ensure that the lid is secured

How and when do I perform a patch test?

It is important to timeously do a patch test 24 hours before you want to remove your hair. Apply the product to a small section of the area from which you wish to remove the hair. Do not rub in. Leave for 8 minutes and remove with a damp cloth. Wait 24 hours – if the skin is calm and comfortable, then proceed the removal to the desired area.

If I have used this product previously, why should I still do a patch test each and every time I use it?

It is necessary to do a patch test each and every time you want to remove hair, as the skin may have been subjected to various conditions such as sun or wind burn, stress, medication etc. These can cause the skin to be react to the product in a different manner to the time before.

How soon can I repeat the hair removal treatment, if all my hair has not initially been removed?

Due to sensitivity of the skin you should wait 2 days before attempting to remove hair in the same area.

I have had a reaction to the hair removal cream, what should I do?

Rinse the area thoroughly with cool water. Apply a soothing balm like an Aloe Vera gel. If the symptoms persist, please seek medical advice.
